Directions to Start and Finish of Vall Marathon from JHB

Day 1 start:
- Take the R59 past Alberton and go straight to Vereeniging. Stay on the motorway round Vereeniging until you see the sign for Vanderbijlpark. Go off at the left and follow the road under the motorway. At the robots turn left. Approximately 3kms further along the road there is a T-junction. Turn right. The first turning left is the R716 to Deneysville. Follow the road for 25kms to the four way stop. Go straight over and turn left at the first road. You will get to a security gate at the Rand Water property. The guard will direct you further. This years start is on the opposite side of the river to previous years. Facing the dam wall on the left bank. Follow the signs marked "Canoe Race". Allow a minimum of one hour from JHB. Start time 09h00.
